Grade School Department is the right place for your children to develop and practice skills for everyday living. Our aim is to teach your children to read, write, and enhance numerical skills. We develop and nurture fundamental skills essential for surviving life at a very young age. We develop critical thinking skills needed for advancement in the 21st century and encourage the children to experience new things for themselves. We also help them practice the values of Respect, Integrity, Contribution and Excellence as the Core Values of the school. And most importantly we let your kids develop social skills and discover things on their own.
The PRIMARY DEPARTMENT
The Goal
Developing the foundation of each individual and hone its capabilities to its superior extent is the number one goal of the Primary Department. The primary is composed of Grades 1, 2, and 3, each year level having different competencies that need to be addressed and be mastered for strong foundation of learning. Training the young minds in order to acquire literacy, enhance numerical skills, foster creativity, and fluent communication skills are the most valuable assets that this department could ever impart for the students. Each learning strategy of the learning facilitators is anchored with 21st century skills to nurture the critical thinking ability of the learners.
The Primary Department also aims not just for the enhancement of the academic knowledge of the students but also that they may keep abreast of the various events in the county and in the community to develop a sense of responsibility and ignite patriotism. This is accompanied by the guidance of the facilitators working hand in hand with the parents as reinforcement to refine the students and have desirable moral and religious values that are accepted by the norms. The primary years are of great significance because it is the year where we form each student as an asset to the community.
In the first and second grade, various concepts are first recalled from their kindergarten years. Afterwards, the students are introduced to newer lessons according to the enhanced curriculum because it is at this grade level where building blocks are laid for better learning. During the third grade, they are to develop more advanced numerical skills, develop communication skills both in written and verbal forms, and enhance discovery skills through innovative projects and activities. Third grade is the crucial year where students make the leap from learning to read and reading to learn to prepare them for them for intermediate level.
